Madonna And Child

This painting is based on the 14th century Wilton diptych. Oliver also painted this as part of the collection for his upcoming solo exhibition. 
 
Motherhood is an important theme in the exhibition, and Oliver has painted three stages of the Virgin Mary; one when she was pregnant and looking for an inn to give birth, the second was the scene of Nativity; and this Madonna and Child will be the third one.
