True Love Is Found In Christ Alone
“If I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.” (1 Cor 13:2)
In my daily walks with God, I ask for the grace of faith in prayer. When reading the Bible, I seek the knowledge to understand God and His relationship with me. Jesus answers me and strengthens my faith. But do I return the favour and share the knowledge and spread God’s love?
When I am down and feeling rejected, I ask Jesus on the cross to help me and give me hope. In turn, the Lord renews my strength and God carries me on eagle’s wings. But do I also lift others up with love with encouraging words?
"If I give away all I have, and if I deliver my body to be burned but have not love, I gain nothing.” (1 Cor 13:3)
In the Bible, the little boy with the five loaves and two fishes taught us to give. I, too, give alms and hope that I am charitable of my time and energy to those who are in need. But do I do it with true love?
“So faith, hope, love abide, these three; But the greatest of these is love.” (1 Cor 13:13)
Indeed the greatest of these is love. I wonder, how much do I truly love when I ask for the grace of Faith, Hope and Charity? I ask Jesus, “Is it not possible for me? How can I love like You, who gave up Your life for us on that cross? My Jesus who feeds me with His Body and Blood in the humble Eucharist?”
